XO.KITCHEN / COLLECTION DIRECTION

Good tools.
Stories around
the table.

Our direction for a collection with makers of kitchen tools, ceramics and considered interiors.

Hypothetical kitchen still life with a forged chef knife, walnut board and forest green bowl
AI-generated material study. The knife, bowl and token are concepts; no supplier or tag construction is selected.

THE PROPOSITION

Made to have
a next chapter.

A crafted knife can carry more than a maker’s mark. Its record could explain the steel and handle, guide sharpening and preserve the maker’s own account of the piece. A kitchen atelier could apply the same approach to materials, components and service records.

The owner receives useful knowledge with the object. The maker has a continuing route for care and service. XO makes room for recipes, shared meals and encounters as an optional layer alongside the practical record.

MAKER AND IMPLEMENTATION ROLES

Choose the right
people for the piece.

A bladesmith or established knife maker, a ceramic studio and a kitchen atelier are different collaboration routes. ZWILLING is an example of an established kitchen-knife category reference, not an approached or committed XO partner.

XO will hold the creative direction and experience. We will agree production quality and servicing with the selected maker, and the tag and verification route with a specialist implementation partner.

FIRST TECHNICAL QUESTION

Prove the connection.

Start with NFC in packaging or a companion card. Any later tool placement must be reviewed for metal interference, washing, food-contact requirements and product safety.

A genuine tag response, the identity of the physical object and a keeper’s authority to change a record are separate checks.

A category reference helps define the expected quality and service level. It does not imply that the pictured concept is a ZWILLING design or that any collaboration exists.

FROM CONCEPT TO RELEASE

A clear route before
any collaboration launch.

  1. Agree the maker, design rights, edition, service offer and unit economics.
  2. Build a tagged sample and approve the physical and digital connection together.
  3. Test verification, authorised updates, export and recovery on one complete object journey.
  4. Release a bounded edition only after quality, support and customer information are ready.

These are the release steps. Maker selection, pricing and launch dates follow the first tested samples.
